Cape Farms 1411, 262 ha, lies in the Durbanville hills wine lands, 20 km from the V&A Waterfront. There are 4 hill tops offering spectacular views of Table Mountain, the Bay, the City, as well as just about the whole Peninsula. In one of the many sheltered valleys (no South Easter in Summer!) we planted 6000 olive trees and built the farm house/shed /olive oil cellar higher up in the valley, on the edge of a pristine renosterbosveld biome which caps most of the hills. The boutique olive farm is a huge success, having won gold medals at the SA Champs for 2010 & 2011; 2012 will be adjudicated later this year.
